The AC Hotel Sunnyvale Moffett Park is a modern Marriott hotel in the office district north of Highway 101 in Sunnyvale. AC Hotels is Marriott's Spanish-born brand, built around clean-lined rooms, a European-style breakfast and a lounge serving tapas and cocktails at night. This one has 164 rooms and suites on five floors, an outdoor pool and a 24-hour gym. It shares its site with the larger TETRA Hotel, Autograph Collection. The two are linked by a courtyard called the Nexus, so the restaurants and bars of both are a short walk apart.
Do not confuse it with the AC Hotel Palo Alto on San Antonio Road. That one is in south Palo Alto, about 6 miles closer. This profile is based on Marriott's official page, checked in early November 2026. We do not publish star ratings or reviews. Fees below are hedged because they change. For live rates, check the AC Hotel Sunnyvale on Booking.com or book with Marriott.
Location and distances
The address is 1235 Bordeaux Drive, Sunnyvale, CA 94089. Bordeaux Drive is in Moffett Park, a district of tech campuses between Highway 101, Highway 237 and Moffett Field. It is busy on weekdays and quiet at night. There are no shops or restaurants to walk to beyond the two hotels themselves.
The location has a few practical upsides. Moffett Field and its landmark Hangar One are just to the west and the Moffett Field museum welcomes visitors who meet its ID rules. Levi's Stadium and California's Great America in Santa Clara are a short drive east along Highway 237, so a stay here can pair a Palo Alto visit with a game, a concert or a theme park day. Sunnyvale's Baylands Park, with picnic areas and levee trails, is also close.
| Destination | Straight line | By car (outside rush hour) |

| Stanford Main Quad | About 8.1 miles | About 11 miles, 25 to 35 minutes |
| Sunnyvale Caltrain station | About 2.4 miles | About 2.8 miles, 7 to 10 minutes |

Airports, Caltrain and Palo Alto
The hotel has no shuttle. Marriott's page points guests to a private car company and lists one-way transfer prices of about $79 to SJC and $180 to SFO or Oakland. Rideshare is usually cheaper for SJC, the closer airport. Our SJC guide covers the options and the free VTA airport bus to Santa Clara station.
Marriott names Sunnyvale station as the nearest Caltrain stop. It is about 2.8 miles by road, so most guests take a rideshare to the platform. Sunnyvale is in the same Caltrain fare zone as Palo Alto and the ride to Palo Alto station takes roughly 10 to 15 minutes. On weekdays, the free Marguerite shuttle continues from Palo Alto station to Stanford. See our Caltrain guide for fares and schedules.
Driving, take Highway 101 north and exit at University Avenue or Embarcadero Road for downtown Palo Alto, or Oregon Expressway and Page Mill Road for Stanford Research Park. Rush hour can easily double the time.
Rooms
Marriott lists 164 rooms and suites across five floors, including rooms with two queen beds plus mobility-accessible and hearing-accessible rooms. AC rooms follow a spare, uncluttered design with good desks and plenty of outlets. They are made for working travelers rather than lounging families.
- Check-in and checkout. Check-in is at 3 p.m. and checkout at noon.
- Minimum age. Guests must be 21 to check in.
- Wi-Fi. Free for Marriott Bonvoy members. Joining costs nothing.
Pool, fitness, parking, EV charging and pets
- Pool. The Terrace Pool, an outdoor pool. TETRA's page uses the same Terrace Pool name, so the two hotels appear to share it. TETRA describes it as heated and set among olive trees. Ask about hours at check-in.
- Fitness. The AC Fitness Center is free and open 24 hours, with cardio machines, ellipticals, bikes, rowers and weights.
- Parking. On-site self parking for an hourly or daily fee. Marriott listed $5 an hour or $28 a day in early November 2026.
- EV charging. An electric car charging station, subject to availability.
- Pets. Up to two pets per room, each up to 25 pounds, for a nonrefundable fee per stay, listed at $150. The weight limit rules out most medium dogs. Our pet-friendly hotels guide lists hotels with higher limits.
Marriott's page has also carried a notice that the AC Hotel, TETRA and their restaurants close to the public for private events on some dates. Check the official Marriott page before you book.
Dining on site
- AC Kitchen serves breakfast every day. Marriott's FAQ says breakfast is not free, so expect to pay unless your rate includes it.
- AC Lounge pours local craft beers, wine and cocktails with tapas in the evening.
- Patio with an outdoor fireplace, good on cool evenings.
Across the Nexus courtyard, TETRA adds more choice: Adrestia for dinner, the Nokori Japanese whisky bar and a daytime cafe. Having two hotels' worth of restaurants on one site makes up for the lack of places nearby. Our TETRA Hotel page has the details.
Food nearby
For a night out, drive about 10 minutes south to downtown Sunnyvale. Historic Murphy Avenue is a single car-free block of restaurants beside the Caltrain station. Our Sunnyvale food guide, updated November 1, 2026, lists Dishdash, Meyhouse, Mayan Kitchen, Gumba's Italian, Ramen Seas and Fibbar MaGees among the places on or near the block. If you are heading back toward Palo Alto, Castro Street in Mountain View is on the way.
Who it suits
- Business travelers with meetings in Moffett Park, who can walk to some nearby campuses.
- Marriott Bonvoy members who want a newer AC Hotel at a lower price point than TETRA.
- Small groups who want two hotels' worth of bars and restaurants without driving.
- Travelers with small pets under 25 pounds.
It is not ideal for first-time visitors whose plans center on Stanford or downtown Palo Alto. Those visitors save time with a Palo Alto hotel or one near Caltrain. Our Menlo Park and Mountain View guide lists closer options.

- Try weekends. Office districts often have softer rates on Friday and Saturday nights.
- Mind the age rule. Guests must be 21 to check in.
