A trampoline park is a warehouse floor turned into one giant bouncy surface. There are wall-to-wall trampolines, foam pits, dodgeball courts and climbing walls. Kids burn off an afternoon of energy and adults find out how out of shape they are in about four minutes. It is one of the best rainy-day plans for families and a reliable birthday party.

Palo Alto has no trampoline park. The two closest are both Sky Zone parks, one in San Carlos and one in San Jose. We checked both on Sky Zone's own pages in late October and early November 2026. They listed current hours, ticket prices and a Halloween 2026 program. Prices and hours change, especially around holidays and school breaks, so check the park's page before you go.

Sky Zone San Carlos

Sky Zone San Carlos at 401 Quarry Road is the closest trampoline park to Palo Alto. Longtime residents may know the building as Rockin' Jump. The park now runs under the Sky Zone name. Its online waiver still carries the old Rockin' Jump San Carlos label. The attractions listed in late 2026 were:

  • Freestyle Jump: the main court of connected trampolines.
  • Ultimate Dodgeball: dodgeball on a trampoline court.
  • Foam Zone: jump or flip into a pit of foam blocks.
  • SkySlam: basketball hoops you can dunk on from a trampoline.
  • Zip Line: a short indoor zip line.
  • iWall: an interactive climbing wall game.
  • SkyJoust: a padded jousting beam.

Prices on the park's tickets page in late 2026:

  • 120-minute ticket: $32.99, with access to every attraction.
  • Extra Play monthly membership: $27.99 a month plus a one-time $10 activation fee. It includes unlimited weekday jump time, two hours on weekends, a monthly buddy pass, free GLOW nights and 20 percent off food and parties. A parent add-on was $12.99.
  • Extra Play annual membership: $219.99 for a year, not recurring.

In October 2026 the park ran Halloween games with GLOW nights, when the lights go down and the court glows under black light. GLOW sessions ask jumpers to wear a glow or white shirt. It also advertised 25 percent off weekday Mega or Epic birthday parties with code BDAY25 for groups of at least 10 jumpers, subject to its terms. San Carlos is a quick hop on Caltrain or Highway 101. Our San Carlos guide has places to eat afterward.

Sky Zone San Jose

Sky Zone San Jose at 1901 Monterey Road is the second option, south of downtown San Jose. Its attraction list in late 2026 included Freestyle Jump, Ultimate Dodgeball, SkySlam, iWall, a Battle Beam, a Drop Zone and an attraction called Cyclobeat. It opens at noon on weekdays, an hour later than San Carlos. It makes sense if you live in south Palo Alto and are heading to San Jose anyway, or if San Carlos is booked for a party. Our San Jose day trip guide has ideas to round out the day.

Socks, waivers and other rules

Sky Zone posts its core rules for all parks. Its FAQ covered these in late 2026:

  • Grip socks are required. You buy Sky Zone's own socks with grip soles at the park. Keep them and reuse them on your next visit as long as they are in good condition.
  • Waivers. Every jumper needs a signed waiver. A parent or guardian signs for children. Sky Zone links an online waiver from each park's page, so you can sign before you arrive.
  • All ages. Sky Zone says all ages are welcome, but some attractions are separated by age and size.
  • No outside food. Snacks and drinks are sold at the park's Fuel Zone. Party packages can include a special food item, such as a cake, by arrangement.
  • Lockers. Lockers are available to rent for phones, keys and wallets.

Jumping safely

Trampolines are fun, but sprains and worse happen when crowds and size gaps mix. A few habits lower the risk:

  1. One jumper per trampoline square. Most injuries happen when two people land on the same mat.
  2. Match sizes. Keep small children away from teens and adults on the main court.
  3. Skip flips unless trained. Save them for the foam pit, feet first or back first.
  4. Take breaks. Tired legs lead to bad landings. Two hours is plenty for most kids.
  5. Listen to court monitors. Staff watch each zone and enforce the rules.

When to go

Weekday afternoons after school and weekend mornings are the busiest times for families. Rainy weekends and school breaks fill both parks fast, so buy timed tickets online when you can. Friday and Saturday evenings skew older, with teens and GLOW nights. If you want space for small children, aim for the first hour after opening on a weekday.

Birthday parties

Both parks sell party packages with a private party area, a party host, invitations and supplies. Weekend slots go weeks ahead, especially in winter. Ask what the package includes before you compare prices, since jump time, food and the number of guests vary. Our birthday party guide covers other local venues and city picnic sites.

Getting there
