About the clinic
The Stanford Comprehensive ENT Clinic is Stanford Medicine's general adult ear, nose and throat clinic. Its page also calls it the Adult General ENT Clinic. It belongs to Stanford's ear, nose and throat department, known by the initials OHNS. The clinic sits at 801 Welch Road on the medical campus at the northern edge of the university, close to Stanford Hospital.
In the clinic's own words, it "provides care for medical concerns involving the ears, nose, face, or throat." This listing covers location, contact and visitor details from the clinic's published information. It is not medical advice and does not rate the care provided. For a medical emergency, call 911.
Conditions the clinic lists
The clinic page groups the problems it sees by area:
- Ears: plugged ears, ear drainage, ear pain and ear pressure.
- Nose: a blocked or stuffy nose and nasal polyps.
- Neck, throat and mouth: neck masses, thyroid nodules, salivary gland masses and mouth lesions.
The page also offers a virtual tour of the clinic and a video in which the clinic chief discusses chronic sinusitis. Those are useful if you want a sense of the space before a first visit.
The care team
The clinic lists two physicians:
- Jennifer Y. Lee, MD, OHNS clinic chief and head of the Comprehensive ENT Clinic. Her listed clinical interests include sinusitis, Eustachian tube dysfunction and endocrine and salivary gland disorders. She joined Stanford Medicine in 2013.
- Uchechukwu Megwalu, MD, MPH, who joined Stanford Medicine in early 2016 after working at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
The page lists clinic days for each physician. Dr. Lee is shown on Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday mornings. Dr. Megwalu is shown on Mondays and Thursdays. Schedules like these change, so confirm when you book.
Others on the team, as the clinic names them, include nurse practitioners Roushig Kalebjian and Alicia Luo Lim; Terence Bigelow, RN, assistant clinic manager; Vanessa Carranco, surgery coordinator; Cristina Pinedo, clinical and medical assistant; and Deborah Kelly, new patient coordinator.
Making an appointment
The clinic asks patients to call 650-723-5281 to make an appointment. Its page also lists a fax number, 650-725-6685. The page does not describe referral requirements, so ask about them when you call, along with insurance questions. Bring your insurance card, photo ID and a list of current medications to a first visit.
If you are not sure whether you need this clinic or another Stanford specialty clinic, Stanford Health Care runs a specialty care line at 650-498-3333 that it lists as answered around the clock.
Parking and getting there
The clinic says limited free parking is available in the lot behind 801 Welch. That lot is small, so have a backup plan. Self-parking is also available at the Pasteur Visitor Garage, 200 Pasteur Drive, which Stanford Health Care lists as open 24 hours a day with the first two hours free. Payment there is by credit card only. Stanford Health Care has noted elevator upgrades at that garage, with golf cart service on every level while elevators are out, so allow extra time.
Without a car, the free Marguerite shuttle runs on weekdays from the Palo Alto Transit Center beside the Caltrain station to the medical center. Our Stanford parking and transit guide explains the routes. If someone with you is a patient at the hospital, our guide to visiting Stanford Hospital covers garages, shuttles and places to stay. Stanford Shopping Center is a short drive away if you need lunch after an appointment.

- The clinic lists a new patient coordinator. Ask that person what records or imaging to bring from other doctors.
- Arrive early if you plan to use the garage, since the walk and any wait for a cart add time.
