About Marigold Row
Marigold Row is an independent women's boutique in Town & Country Village that sells clothing, scarves and jewelry made with Indian textiles and craft techniques. The business says it has been bringing textiles and jewelry from India to North American customers since 2007. It traded as Pavo SF before taking its current name. It sells online, in the Palo Alto store and wholesale.
The owner and founder is Anita Mehta. On the shop's About page, she says she was born in New Delhi, came to the United States as a student and has lived in California for more than three decades. The name comes from the marigold flower, which the shop describes as a symbol of celebration in Indian tradition.
Wholesale customers include museum stores, specialty boutiques and gift shops across North America. The shop names the Harvard University Art Museum, the Seattle Art Museum and the Mingei Museum among its museum store customers.
What this location offers
- Scarves: the core of the range, in silk, cotton silk, cotton, wool, wool silk, cashmere and linen
- Apparel: women's clothing in cotton, linen, wool and silk, made with hand weaving, embroidery, hand dyeing and block printing
- Jewelry: fine jewelry in 18-karat gold, plus sterling silver, natural stones and gold-plated brass, sourced from jewelers in India

The store also sells hand-knit scarves and hats made by Popo, a 108-year-old Bay Area grandmother who took up knitting late in life. The shop says all proceeds from her pieces go to her.
