About The Farm

The Farm is an all-day cafe at 2450 Park Boulevard, a block from the California Avenue Caltrain station. It opened on June 9, 2025, according to Palo Alto Online, which described it as bringing organic coffee and healthy all-day food to the California Avenue area. The space was previously Pizza Boulevard and before that Legends Pizza Co.

The cafe was created by co-founders Ismail "Jan" Unlu and Cemo Orge. Unlu, a Los Altos resident, told the paper he wanted something smaller as he got older: "like a cafe, where I can hang around." The result mixes a serious coffee bar with a menu that moves from breakfast to dinner, including dishes from Turkey.

Coffee

Coffee is central here. The Farm serves single-origin, organic coffee roasted by ALTimpact Coffee in Oakland. Unlu told Palo Alto Online that freshness matters because coffee loses flavor when it sits on a shelf too long. Lattes can be flavored with house-made syrups such as rose, orange and lavender, which gives regulars something different from the usual vanilla and caramel. The cafe is listed on the joe coffee app, a platform used by independent coffee shops.

When it opened, the menu covered several meals in one place. These dishes were reported at opening. The menu may have changed since:

  • Brunch until 3 p.m., including acai bowls and avocado toast
  • Lunch from 11 a.m., including a chicken wrap, roasted wings and a Garden Greens salad
  • Pizza in eight New York-style flavors, a nod to the space's history as a pizzeria
  • Turkish dishes such as lahmacun (a thin flatbread topped with spiced minced meat) and manti (small dumplings usually served with yogurt)
  • Desserts including rice pudding, baklava and gelato from Artisan Gelato Fiorello

The Farm also serves wine, bottled beers and mimosas, so it works for a weekend brunch or an early evening glass.

The space

Palo Alto Online reported seating for 65 indoors plus 18 more on a covered patio. That is a good size for meeting a friend, working over a coffee or bringing a small group for brunch. The patio is a plus on mild days, which in Palo Alto means much of the year.

Who it suits

The Farm suits commuters who want a good coffee near the train, remote workers who need a table for an hour and families looking for a casual meal that pleases both pizza fans and adults who want something lighter. The Turkish dishes set it apart from most cafes in the area. Because it serves wine, beer and mimosas, it also works for a relaxed weekend brunch. Groups can split a couple of pizzas and a lahmacun for the table.

Vegetarians can start with the acai bowls and avocado toast reported at opening. The opening coverage did not say how the menu labels vegetarian or gluten-free dishes, so ask about pizza toppings and salads. Ask staff if you need details about ingredients.
