Downtown Campbell is a restaurant street that happens to have a few shops. East Campbell Avenue runs a handful of blocks from the old railroad crossing, now the light rail line, through the old town center. Nearly every storefront is a restaurant, bar, cafe or dessert shop. On weekend nights the patios fill and the sidewalks get busy well past dinner.
The Downtown Campbell Business Association keeps a dining guide that lists more than 25 businesses. We checked the ones below against their own websites in late October 2026. In one case we relied on the association's guide alone. Descriptions are factual: what each place serves and where it is. For museums, the Pruneyard and the creek trail, see our Campbell town guide.
How downtown is laid out
The restaurants sit mostly between the 100 and 400 blocks of East Campbell Avenue. Several sit-down restaurants stand side by side at the 270 and 280 addresses. Blue Line Pizza occupies a historic building farther along at 415. Orchard City Drive, a block south, has the civic center, the library and Water Tower Kitchen, named for the town's landmark water tower.
The Pruneyard, a larger open-air center on South Bascom Avenue, is a short drive east. It adds chain restaurants, a Philz Coffee and a movie theater.

Date night and dinner out
Elia
Elia at 276 E. Campbell Ave. is the Campbell branch of a small group that also runs restaurants in San Carlos, Pleasanton and Walnut Creek. The cooking draws on Greek and Aegean flavors, with mezze and seafood dishes, plus live music on weeknights and DJ sets on weekends. The group asks diners to dress for fine dining and to skip sportswear, shorts and hats. Our Greek food guide covers similar cooking in Palo Alto.
One Fish Raw Bar
One Fish Raw Bar at 193 E. Campbell Ave. focuses on raw seafood and seasonal sashimi and sells sake to take home. Its website lists dinner Wednesday to Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m. and Sunday until 8 p.m., weekend lunch from noon to 2 p.m. and a short happy hour Wednesday to Friday. Its website takes reservations and offers buyouts.
Sushi Confidential
Sushi Confidential runs full-service restaurants in downtown Campbell and Willow Glen plus concession stands elsewhere. The downtown association lists the Campbell restaurant at 247 E. Campbell Ave. Its menu leans toward American-style rolls and Asian fusion with cocktails. The restaurant takes buyouts for groups of 25 to 75. Our sushi guide covers Palo Alto counters.
Casual meals
Sultan's Kebab
Sultan's Kebab at 278 E. Campbell Ave. serves Turkish kebabs and plates. The downtown guide lists it as 100 percent halal. Its website gives Campbell hours of 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and lists sister shops in Pleasanton, Livermore and Danville. Our Turkish food guide has more.
Aqui Cal-Mex
Aqui Cal-Mex at 201 E. Campbell Ave. serves California-style Mexican plates and frozen "Swirl" drinks and says it uses natural, wild and organic ingredients when it can. In late October 2026 its website showed a new fall menu and daily specials running October 28 to November 10.
Blue Line Pizza
Blue Line Pizza at 415 E. Campbell Ave. was the first Blue Line, built in a former art gallery with an adjacent parking lot. It serves Chicago-style deep dish with a cornmeal crust. The page lists a large bar, televisions and a dog-friendly patio with heaters. Hours run from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and to 9:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Brunch and sports
Water Tower Kitchen at 201 Orchard City Drive opened in 2019 and says Metro Silicon Valley named it best brunch in 2024. It has 19 televisions for game days, indoor and outdoor seating and five event spaces. Its website lists hours of 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Thursday, until 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
Willard Hicks at 280 E. Campbell Ave. is an American grill with lunch, dinner and brunch every Saturday and Sunday. It runs happy hours on weekday afternoons and late evenings. A second restaurant is in Morgan Hill. Our brunch guide covers weekend mornings in Palo Alto.
Bread and coffee
Manresa Bread runs a cafe at 195 E. Campbell Ave., open 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. per its website, with indoor and outdoor seating. It sells sourdough made with house-milled organic flour, pastries and espresso. The bakery also has a cafe in Palo Alto.
Orchard Valley Coffee at 349 E. Campbell Ave. roasts its beans on site in an antique roaster and sits next to city hall, the library and the police station. It offers free Wi-Fi. Its own website shows no current hours, so we rely on the downtown dining guide's listing. For a chain stop near the Pruneyard, Philz Coffee lists a Campbell store at 1976 S. Bascom Ave.
Eating with kids
Downtown Campbell is easy with children before about 7 p.m. Blue Line Pizza has a patio and a menu children know, Water Tower Kitchen has room for groups and Aqui calls itself an affordable neighborhood kitchen. Manresa Bread works for a morning pastry stop before a walk on the Los Gatos Creek Trail, which passes through Campbell. On Sunday the farmers market turns the avenue into a car-free walking street. The Ainsley House and the Campbell Historical Museum nearby open Friday to Sunday afternoons. Later in the evening the bars fill and the street gets louder, so plan family meals early. Our Vasona Lake County Park guide covers a lakeside park a few minutes south, next to Oak Meadow Park and its miniature railroad.
